The Postal Service release now song.

Ten years and not a peep from the legendary collaboration between Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello. Today, a new song emerges.

If you have been living under a rock for the past decade, The Postal Service is an electronic duo that released the ground breaking album Give Up in 2003. The collaboration began when Gibbard contributed vocals for a Dntel song "The Dream of Evan and Chan".  The two apparently hit it off musically, because Tamborello continued producing songs that he would then mail to Gibbard to add vocals and other personal edits. And so the aptly titled The Postal Service was born... and quickly died. Or so we thought.

The duo's official website went live earlier this year with a a singular message: The Postal Service 2013. Since then, they were announced as Coachella 2013 headliners, and have announced a run of additional tour and festival dates in the US and Europe.

A coworker of mine put this track on the office speakers today without warning and I nearly fell out of my chair. There's no mistaking this sound, friends. The Postal Service have returned to us!
