Icona Pop - Iconic EP

The Swedish duo Icona Pop, comprised of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, have released a number of anticipation building singles through out the year, and today are finally seeing the official release of the Iconic EP.

What is it about the Swedes and their ever-infectious knack for making great electro pop?

"I Don't Care" may very well top my favorite songs of the year list, and has elicited a staggering number of fist-pumping top-of-the-lungs-screaming dance parties in my car. Alone and shared with friends. This song has the perfect amount of dance floor ready beats coupled with intensely delivered vocals and enough pop flavor to make it insanely catchy and approachable. "I Love It" has a repeat listen value that's off the charts. A song for being pissed off. A song for a party. A song for crashing cars into bridges and throwing somebody else's shit down some stairs. I can't say enough good things.

Have a listen to the whole EP on Soundcloud and check out some great videos below. You can also follow their tour blog here. Yes, that's right. They're on tour. Don't miss them.
